Self-interview after FotoFest 2014
After four days of intense reviews at FotoFest 2014 with some very influencing curators, gallery owners, publishers and collectors, I have been going over again and again in my mind, what I was asked and what I answered -or should have answered without the pressure of time and being nervous. Words, sounds, faces and emotions are all blending in. I decided that if I ask myself about some of the most important topics discussed, I could grasp the essence of what I learned. So, i

FotoFest 2014 Portfolio Review
I am about to enter my first review. Ever. Opening my portfolio to anyone other than friends and family and any other person who may have stumbled on this website or on my Facebook page seems now like a huge risk, specially on such an important review as it is FotoFest in Houston , Texas. I have to say that there is absolutely nothing to loose and everything to gain with this opportunity I have in front of me. I have thirty 16x20 prints mostly of a series that for now I

...what am calling so far the 'Silver' Collection'
I took 20 images from the 'Buildings' series and decided to bring them closer together by unifying its color. White and its shades onto a light gray are the protagonist here. I am intending printing this collection on a substrate like aluminum, white marble or glass.

Taj Mahal Series
Its magical. I had seen it so many times on architecture books, postcards, magazines, etc.... I read is one of the most photographed buildings in the world! I spent my whole afternoon in awe walking around it, breathing it in, and photographing it. I knew I wanted to photograph it dead-center, and it was hard with the amount of tourists fighting for a good viewing spot and wanting me to move out of their way. Since i photograph without any tripods or special equipment, I was

PHOTOLUCIDA- Critical Mass 2013 submission
I have just submitted these 10 images from the TOWER series and hoping to be selected for review from over 200 juries from all over the world. This is great exposure and will help me further my talent. I am very excited about this! Boom. Bust. The 2008 financial crisis was of great transformation for many. I was no exception. I salvaged what I could; bought the best camera I could afford and leaped into a dream; I plunged into a spiritual journey of self-discovery which take

Photographing through Europe
In this 2013 trip to Europe I am visiting Berlin, Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid and Paris ! That should be enough to keep me busy for months bringing to light my photos. Here is a peak of what I have been shooting. Enjoy ! These are all raw images and as you can see, how I shoot is pretty much how the photo ends up being with minor editing. There is no digital manufacturing of any of the effects, just simple color corrections, cropping, adjustments and ...voila!

NEW YORK CITY LIGHTS
Its hard to believe that the 'city that never sleeps' has lost power and was in the dark! Am glad to hear the recovery of the city has started, power is coming back and all friends are safe and getting back to normal. Here is an photo I took couple of months ago and is part of a series I am working now. Look at all this light !!!

Sitar Arts Center fundraiser donation
Sitar Arts Center is an afterschool program catered to children and youth in the Adams Morgan community of Washington DC. Sitar Arts Center offers these children the opportunity to study the visual arts and performing arts and for it they rely on supporters and fundraisers. I was honored to have been asked to donate a photograph for help raise funds at their silent auction. The Auction is Thursday October 28 from 7-10pm.

Another great day photographing SFO !
The editing process is an arduous one where I get to filter through hundreds of photographs and decide which ones are the perfect ones! Here is an example: The City Hall in San Francisco- It was a beautiful subject to photograph! The sunshine was amazing.
