Silhouettes in Silver

A series of distinctive, symmetrical building facades are stripped down entirely of their color leaving just their silver-tone shadows and white streaks of light. The facades vanish into ghostly shapes of their own silhouettes. Our visual memories come into play. Something triggers and our focus turns onto the unique and different shapes of each facade registering in our memories. The silhouettes are the identity by which these buildings become unique and how we come to recognize and remember them.

This exhibit shows 12 selected images from a larger group that compose the entire ‘Silhouettes in Silver‘ Collection. The photographs are able to be hung as a group or individually and are printed on semi-luster photo paper. Other editions are available using raised ink directly printed over acrylic, aluminum and  marble, and dye-sublimation on white silk.
